albert lea mn photographer {recent newborns}

Here's some images from recent sessions. There were a collaboration with another local photographer. This was so so helpful to me to help develop my consistency and work on my editing style and my "look." With the amount of competition in this field, setting yourself apart is crucial. I think that the collaboration sessions definitely helped me pinpoint the direction that I wanted to go. I recently did my first solo newb session in a few weeks and it was SO relaxed and laid back. I don't remember them being stress-free!

I can't even tell you how much these sessions helped ease any of my stressors revolving newborns. I even nailed the ever-so desired (composite shot) frog pose. It was definitely easier in a lot of ways than I thought it would be, but it was harder in many ways, too. Much quicker to edit than to shoot, lol!

Newborns are *the* most rewarding sessions that I do. I can easily say that newborns are my favorite sessions. But that doesn't meant that I don't love every other session that I do. It requires so much patience--that I do not have for any other corner of my life. The skill is something to be appreciated. Not to mention the prop shopping and set up planning is pretty fun too. Don't even get me started on all of the awesome vendors out there.

 I can honestly say that I am proud of my job, and not many people can say that. I am truly blessed. I can only hope that one day I can do what I love more regularly. Oh, and a studio is on that list, too. ;)
